The Annual Meeting of the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum was held Saturday, April 26th at Cole Farms Restaurant in Gray, Maine. About 75 members and friends of the museum were in attendance. Before the meeting, attendees were able to visit the Maine Wildlife Park, walk the right-of-way and visit the location of the new home of the museum. Renowned Maine State Historian, Earle Shettleworth, gave a presentation on the Kennebec Central railroad and the architecture of it’s train station. Trustees elected to the board for the 2014-2017 term were announced and include Corey Boucher, Jeffrey Gilpatric, and Fraser Jones. Several award recipients were honored during the event and included the following:
- Governor’s Award for Service and Volunteerism: Brian Durham, Donovan Gray and Richard Meyer
- Founder’s Award: Arthur Hussey
- Vigeant Award: Richard Vigeant
