A ticket to ride the train is good for the entire day and includes admission to the museum. See: Train Ticket Prices for our current prices.
Yes. The train is open seating. You may sit in any seat in any car on the train. No advance reservations are required.
Yes. Senior citizens get $1 off the adult price.
Yes. Members get $2 off the regular service ticket price. Special events, such as Polar Express, are excluded. See: Membership for more information.
Yes. We have a Guest Engineer program.
Yes. You can reserve a car on a regularly scheduled train or reserve the entire train for an event. See Charters for current pricing and more information. It's a great venue for Weddings and other special occasions. Also see Birthday Parties for a unique experience for children.
Yes. You can purchase tickets anytime until the train leaves.
Yes. Your ticket is good all day.
The museum is open from 10:00 to 4:00 daily from May through October. Check the home page for up to date information off-season.

All of our passenger trains are pulled by a diesel engine. The steam locomotives have been in use for more than 80 years and are undergoing repairs and restoration work. We hope to have at least one back in service soon.
Snacks and refreshments are offered for sale in the museum. The train does not sell any food or beverages on board.
Yes. Food and drink are allowed on the train. We ask that you take all trash with you when you leave.
