The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum is a proud to once again be a part of the Portland History Docents Program. The program, organized by the Portland History Collaborative, is a unique, eleven-week educational program that trains docents as volunteers for area museums.
This year’s program will take place from March 5th-April 30th, 2015. The PHD Schedule 2015 consists of lectures on area history, art, and architecture along with effective docent techniques. Students visit each of the sites in the program and are asked to commit to one year of volunteering with a participating organization during the coming year.
