PROGRAMS “All Aboard” Story Time: Join us at the museum Thursday mornings at 10:30am for a storybook reading inside the museum and activities for children. (Museum Admission fees apply)
Steam Guest Engineer Program: We are pleased to once again offer the Steam Guest Engineer program select dates during 2013! This is your chance to experience being an engineer on our historic Monson Railroad Locomotive #4. Limited space/dates available – reserve your spot today! Diesel Guest Engineer Program: Our popular Diesel Guest Engineer program returns again this year, offering a unique hands-on experience for rail enthusiasts! Program dates are scheduled as requested. Contact the museum for more information. (Special Fees Apply)
EVENTS CALENDAR May 11th – “A Day in the Life” National Train Day Celebration: Join us at the museum for train rides and fun as we celebrate National Train Day! Explore the museum as you learn about the duties of train personnel. Hands on activities for children.
June 15th – “Maine Rebels Attack” Train Robbery and Civil War Event: The 15th Alabama “Maine Rebel” reenactors return for a train robbery and Civil War eraactivities.
July 4th – Independence Day Celebration: Celebrate the Holiday with a summer train ride along Casco Bay! Patriotic music on board the train and holiday crafts inside the museum. September
August 31st – “Maine Rebels Attack” Train Robbery and Civil War Event: The 15th Alabama “Maine Rebel” reenactors return for a train robbery and Civil War era activities.
September 21st- The Roaring Twenties: Join us for a 1920′s themed celebration, marking the heyday of much of our railroad equipment. Monson Steam Locomotive #4 will be in service and a “Speakeasy” provides entertainment inside the museum!
October 26th & 27th – Fall Harvest Weekend: Join us for an end-of-the-season, harvest-themed treat! Enjoy hot cider and cookies in the museum and an autumn train ride along Casco Bay.
Thanksgiving – Christmas – Polar Express Trains: Select dates between November 28 and December 23.
